Karen Kassidy

Karen Cassidy                                                           Training Manager AIfL MInstLM 

 

Karen has worked for Stewart First Aid Training since June 2010. She has over 15 years experience as a first aid trainer and assessor and has built up her knowledge and skills which has enabled her to become an extremely highly regarded trainer. Karen was the First Aid Brigade Adviser for Scotland in the Army Cadet Force which meant she advised them regarding any first aid issues.

Karen holds an Emergency Medical Technician qualification and is an active member of Community First Responders with the Scottish Ambulance Service. This allows Karen's continuous experience in emergency medical care situations. Karen relays this experience when teaching course delegates from Stewart First Aid Training's diverse range of customers allowing for a first class learning experience.

Julie Shannon
Julie Shannon                                                                Paramedic & First Aid Trainer 

 

Julie has worked with Stewart First Aid Training for nearly 2 years as a first aid trainer and assessor.Julie's experience as a state registered paramedic for over 10 years means that her first aid training courses are hands on and fun as well as an excellent learning experience. By using real life scenarios course delegates are taught in an informal but current manner and without fail Julie always receives the highest level of feedback from clients

Her natural training ability and proficiency in delivering first aid training is a huge asset to Stewart First Aid Training. Much of Julie's experience has been delivering and assessing HSE first aid training to a diverse range of clients including organisations who themselves have diverse operational activities.

Janet Mclean 
Janet McLean                                                                       Nurse & First Aid Trainer 

 

Janet has been a First Aid Trainer and Assessor with Stewart First Aid for over 10 years. Janet worked for 7 years as a Staff Midwife and Midwifery Sister based in the theatre suite and labour ward constantly dealing with emergency care situations. She subsequently worked as a Staff Nurse in a care home for 8 years looking after elderly clients and as well as dealing with emergency situations.

Throughout her time with Stewart First Aid Training Janet has developed client relationships with a diverse range from our customer base delivering all HSE first aid training programmes and other specialist courses such as Specific Hazards, Anaphylaxis and AED.

Cathy Newlands                        Pre Hospital Emergency Practitioner & First Aid Trainer 

 

Cathy has worked for Stewart First Aid Training for over 7 years as a first aid trainer and assessor. Cathy is an experienced trainer and assessor delivering and assessing the HSE first aid training programme of courses as well as delivering other specialist courses such as AED and Paediatric Courses. Cathy's qualification as an Emergency Medical Technician gives her the emergency care setting experience she requires to be a confident and capable trainer and assessor.

Cathy has wide experience delivering and assessing HSE first aid training to a diverse range of clients including organisations who themselves have diverse operational activities. Cathy has a very keen personal interest in first aid as well as other health & safety training and has completed her IOSH qualification with a view to undertaking a NEBOSH qualification.
